Too Soon, Much Too Soon

Dear Peppermint Bark from Costco,

Why are you on the shelves already? You don't have anything better to do than hone in on all the other holiday treats? You're taunting me but I won't give in. Not yet anyway. Don't be fooled, I will purchase you and I will eat you. I will eat the crap outta you. But it won't be until the day after Thanksgiving--at least. I need to pace myself this season. I need to get through all the orange Kit Kats first, various flavors of pie next and then it will be your turn.

Until then, my sweet.

Regards,

Landeelu Landerson

First caramel candy corns and now this? It's like I don't even know you anymore.

I've never tried the costco bark...adding that to my list for Detroit. Why do you have to tell me about good things that I shouldn't eat, but have no will power not to buy?

It's never too soon for peppermint bark. That's a year-round treat in my book.

Are you still keeping your phone out at all times, in hopes of even a fake "people of Wal-Mart" photo??

Memz, you didn't know I liked candy/treats/delectables? Then you never knew me, my frousin. Never.

Annalisa, I apologize. But luckily you have to drive all the way to Detroit to get it. I have two Costcos within 10 minutes of my house. (<<<---rubbing it in :)

Jespy, I have to wait. For jean size purposes. You understand.

Marci, ALWAYS. Always.

Oh I see. You are one of those people who write letters. I now know not to open any letters I get from you.

Never had that stuff. I'm thinking from this post I better not start. My butt is already too big.

it came out just in time for your favorite Dads birthday. And he hearted it in his birthday gift basket of that precious limited time bark, homemade chili sauce (for meatloaf), and a packet of cream cheese frosting for squirting straight into his mouth. In a trick or treat candy bowl. Did you forget his birthday btw? JAY KAY.

I bought a bunch in January, 85% off. Still tasty.

Logan eyed that yesterday while running in for a roasted chicken. Yeah, no. $10? Really?

I can totally appreciate your post. Mine - last year - was the mini twix bars that are all over the grocery store for halloween. For some reason this year, they don't look good anymore. Hm. Oh well.
