Early Signs of Dying?

Look at my eye, you gize!!!!  What in the....?  Who in the....?  Why in the...?

Ugh.

Here's a closer look:

I need a diagnosis.

Here are my symptoms:

NONE

Other than the nasty red eye, of course.

I need this diagnosed & cured ASAP because the questions of "What happened to your eye???" and comments of "Ooooooh....your eye!" are becoming more & more frequent.

I literally was putting on my makeup on Monday and noticed it was a little red.  Then it progressively got more and more red the next couple of days.  Last night when I was washing my face it hurt a bit when I was rubbing my eye (just tender from putting pressure on it).  Then today it hurts if I squeeze my eyes shut hard or look to either side too much.

I'm feeling like I need to hurry and read this month's book club selection before I go blind.  Will I see my children open their presents on Christmas morning?  Should you rethink your Christmas present to me considering it might be my last Christmas?

Some things to think about.

Get some Visine, it gets the red out.
Then please, post another picture and I'll email it in for that teacher from Farris Bueller's Day Off.

It doesn't have anything to do with becoming a vampire does it? Noone meant to bite your neck but you moved while you were sleeping and HE slipped and got your eye:)? Ok I know I can't ever be as funny as you but I hope you get it figured out quick! Hope the neighborhood is doing well!!

It's superficial punctate keratitis

Have you been coughing hard or throwing up? That can sometimes do it.

You should be rushing to the doctor. I have heard of freak things happening... Or it could just be something stupid like pink eye or something.
Just go! Then zip off a quick update to all of the prognosis.

Dr. Anonymous!!! I think you're right on your diagnosis. I googled it just like Bella did regarding the "cold ones." It says no treatment needed and that I'll recover in 3 weeks.... THREE weeks?? Great. There go my awesome Christmas morning pictures. I'm gonna look hungover.

Amy, Ben Stein does Clear Eyes, not Visine. How dare you? Getting your spokespeople mixed up is highly offensive.

Your gizes' sympathy has been oozing off the computer screen, btw. Oozing. ::going to find some more online friends::

You're welcome! Although if you wear contacts, they can irritate it so you might want to wear your glasses for a few weeks... ::shudder::

You should probably get an eye patch to wear for the next 3 weeks. Lucky! If it doesn't clear up by then, consult the blogspot triage again.

I knew it was Clear Eyes, I just wanted to prove to him that Visine works just as good.

Wanda? Is that you in there?

I think it is herpes simplex of the eye. You can get cold sores in your nose, eyes, lips, and, um, well, that other place which shall not be named. Nothing to be ashamed of. It will go away. Wash your hands after rubbing your eye though. Merry Christmas.

Obviously, you have pink eye which means you need to avoid any further fecal matter.

I say it's Christmas preparation fatigue, pure and simple. You DO have a physician cousin. Send him the picture and see what he says.

I knew that dermatographism would spread.

Good luck getting rid of it.

People with herpes have fun all the time. Remember? And oozing may not be the best word to use, but since you haven't had any oozing, I guess it doesn't matter. I'm relieved to say that today Landee's eye looked less red and she's reporting it is also less sore. I wanted to run some Naphcon over to her and I wanted to ask her about it at the cookie exchange this week, but I didn't want to seem overly concerned. So - I've just been playing it cool. Maybe you really won't die. That would be pretty great.

If it was pinkeye you'd have gunk in it, too. It usually oozes nasty stuff that'll paste your eyelids together when you're asleep. I think we had it a dozen times when Meg was a baby.

I'm with whoever said it was probably from coughing hard....looks like a little burst blood vessel. I wouldn't worry about it unless it lasts more than 2-3 days or gets worse.

Merry Christmas, btw!

Love, Your pseudo Aunt Shel who is STILL annoyed that she couldn't work out how to get up to SF and see you gize.

I never noticed how freakishly short your eyelashes were before. Looks like you tried to poo too hard tho.

Tiffers, Five days have passed. Are your eyes any better yet?
