Jingle Bellz, Batman Smells...

I'm not sure if you gize knew this but I went on a cruise last week. Yeah, I did. I got way into the Caribbean groove, ifyouknowwhati'msayin. I did not, however, get into the Christmas groove. They played Christmas music over the intercom on the ship occasionally and it felt so wrong. Dirty even.

So now I'm having to kick my joyeux noelle butt into high gear so I don't put my kids into therapy.

Here are some things I've been doing the last two days to get myself into the spirit of Christmas.... and it's working, you gize. Slowly but surely. I'll be a full fledged elf by Christmas Eve evening just in the St. Nick of time.

  • Opening & reading the 20s of Christmas cards that were on "vacay hold" at the post office.
  • Eating abnormal amounts of the Candy Cane Hershey Kisses (dang you Jespy for telling me about those!!)
  • Making cookies for Santa with the kids
  • Throwing away Halloween candy
  • I bought flannel sheets for all my kids and I'm going to put them on their beds Christmas Eve. I'm all kindza giddy about this for some reason.
  • Wrapping presents.
  • Buying last minute stocking stuffers.
  • I have my Scentsys chock full of Cranberry Spice going full force 24 hours a day.
  • Making lists & checking them twice.
  • Bought some cute casual Christmas dishes on sale at Targay for us to eat our Christmas Day Digiorno's pizza on.
  • Using bullet points... tis the season.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Here's to hoping you get more than just coal in your stocking tonight.

I still haven't found the candy cane kisses, I'm starting to panic that they'll be gone before I have a chance to try them ...seriously ...panicking!

I heart flannel sheets big time!!! Your kids are so lucky!

I can already feel a cd shaped object in my stocking, so I know I'm getting something besides coal in there.

Dwight and I did some last minute shopping today. We just felt we should COMPLETELY empty our checking account before tomorrow.

And Robin toadally layed an egg.

You are missing out on fresh peanut brittle and caramels (thanks to aunt visahs boyfriends recipe?) and lots of jammie pant time.

The wind is blowing so hard my hurr extensions blew out again. Srsly.

Keep that music on. Oh a good one if you don't have it is James Taylor "In the Bleak Midwinter"

It's an adorable lullaby for your kiddies and stuff.

loverz you and merry natsmas. kthanksbye.

Congrats on getting in to the spirit in the St. Nick of time. BTW--Memzy is getting more than coal so not to worry. :) I talked to your mom and dad yesterday and they sound great. Your dad made 10 batches of caramels as opposed to my 5 batches. He explained his "cutting and wrapping" technique--a little OCD--but effective. Have a great time and enjoy your pizza---we're having breakfast food aaaaalllll day long. No veggies tomorrow--none. Merry Christmas Tiffers. I love you.

Welcome home and Merry Christmas!

When hubby was opening Christmas cards and he saw an envelope from you, he said, "Aaah, feels pretty thick... I wonder if she'll be the "best Christmas card" winner again this year?"

Yes, dang Jespy...I got three more bags in my stocking. All I could think about when I woke up this morning was all those candy cane kisses half price all over the place. I am drugging up, and going out.
